FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is this a replacement for medical care?

No. Energy intuitive therapy is complementary. It does not replace diagnosis, treatment or advice from a doctor, specialist, psychologist or other healthcare professional.

Do you work according to Reiki or Pranic Healing?

There are recognisable similarities, but I do not work from the teachings of any specific method. Each session arises from direct attunement to you, your body and your symptoms.

Do I have to believe in it?

No. You do not have to believe in anything specific. A positive attitude is enough.

Is the first session really free?

Yes. The first introductory session is free. We use it to understand your situation and to experience whether something positive begins to shift.

How quickly will I notice an effect?

This differs from person to person. My experience is that after one session, you can often tell whether something has started to shift. With some symptoms, relief arises during the session; with others, it becomes noticeable later that day or in the following days.

How many sessions are needed?

That varies. I do not automatically plan a series of treatments. After each session, we look at whether there has been a positive response and whether a follow-up session makes sense.

Do you touch clients?

Usually not. Occasionally I may feel that a specific area needs attention through touch. This only happens after I have asked for your permission.

Do you automatically schedule follow-up appointments?

No. I do not automatically plan a treatment series. Only when you genuinely experience a positive effect do we discuss whether a follow-up session is appropriate.

Can sessions take place online?

Yes. I prefer the first session to take place in person in Bosch en Duin. Follow-up sessions can also take place online when that feels appropriate.

What does a follow-up session cost?

A follow-up session costs €250 for 2 hours. If that imposes a challenge for you, we can discuss further options. I work with a money-back guarantee. If you feel your session does not yield any results I reinstate your session fee. What matters most to me is that people who can benefit from this work are able to access it.

Are the costs of a treatment reimbursed?

Energy work is generally not reimbursed through basic health insurance in the Netherlands. Some clients may be able to use a personal development, vitality or wellbeing budget through their employer.

Do you claim that you can cure post-COVID?

No. I make no medical claims and I do not guarantee results. I have worked with clients with post-COVID who reported clear improvements in energy, resilience and daily functioning.

What can I come to you for?

My main areas of focus are post-COVID, burn-out, chronic fatigue and chronic pain, including osteoarthritis, arthritis, herniated discs and chronic back, neck and shoulder pain. I also regularly work with people whose symptoms appear to be connected to autonomic nervous system dysregulation, chronic inflammatory processes or autoimmune-related issues. Every person responds differently, but in practice I often see positive changes in energy, relaxation, resilience and overall wellbeing.

Can energy therapy help with post-COVID?

Energy therapy is not a medical treatment for post-COVID. I do support people with post-covid symptoms such as low energy, reduced resilience, muscle weakness, brain fog and stalled recovery. Some clients report clear improvements in daily functioning. Results vary from person to person.

What do you mean by recovery that has stalled or halted?

I use this phrase for situations where someone rests, follows medical advice and still does not seem to recover further. During sessions I pay attention to tension, blockages, regulation and what the body seems to need in order to settle and begin recover again.

What role does the autonomic nervous system play?

The sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems are the two complementary divisions of the autonomic nervous system, responsible for regulating the body's involuntary functions. The parasympathic nervous system is involved in rest, recovery, heart rate, breathing and stress release. Many clients recognise the feeling that their opposing sympathetic nervous system is constantly turned on. My work is aimed at restoring calm, relaxation and regulation, without making medical claims.

Can this support burn-out recovery?

People with burn-out often contact me when rest alone no longer seems to be enough. Sessions are aimed at deep relaxation, body awareness and supporting recovery. This is complementary support and not a replacement for psychological or medical care.

Can this support chronic fatigue?

I regularly support people with long-term fatigue and reduced resilience. The aim is not to force energy, but to explore whether the body can experience more calm, space and recovery capacity.

Can this support chronic pain?

With chronic pain such as osteoarthritis, arthritis, herniated discs and back, neck or shoulder pain, some clients report relief, relaxation or more freedom of movement. I do not offer guarantees and always recommend appropriate medical care where needed.

What happens after the free first session?

After the first session we calmly evaluate what you experienced. I do not automatically schedule a treatment series. Only if you experience a positive effect do we discuss whether a follow-up session makes sense.

Is there scientific proof for energy therapy?

There is no generally accepted scientific proof that universal energy transmitted through the hands cures medical conditions. Client experiences motivate me to work carefully, measure outcomes and stay grounded in how I describe results.

Can I stop my medical treatment if I feel better?

No. Never stop medication or medical treatment on your own. Always discuss changes with your doctor or specialist. My work is complementary and intended as additional support.

Why do you recommend a walk after the session?

During our session we are activating the parasympathetic nervous system and from that state create a shift. Staying in that state for a while after the session increases its effectiveness. Many clients find that a mindful walk helps the session settle. The surroundings of Bosch en Duin are well suited for this: nature, stillness and gentle movement before returning to stress or screens.
